iGov Named Prime Contractor in Consecutive SEWP Contract

Total Contract Value Could Reach $5.6 Billion Over Seven Years

McLEAN, Va., April 18, 2007 – Continuing its record as a trusted provider of technology and related services to the federal government, iGov has again been awarded a NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) contract vehicle that enables procurement of a range of IT products.

iGov’s established its credentials in this program as one of 16 prime contractors for the SEWP III contract, which to date is responsible for more than $127 million in revenue.  The current version, known as SEWP IV, also is a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) that allows all NASA centers, all federal agencies, and their contractors to order workstations and servers along with peripherals, network equipment, security, storage devices, and other IT products from more than 1,400 manufacturers.  Prices are generally lower than those on the GSA Schedule, and ordering procedures are straightforward on the Web with the commercial Firm Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

“Federal agencies carry a lot of responsibility, from providing various types of security to health and housing benefits.  Fulfilling this complex mission demands a significant level of resources, and GWACs like SEWP IV are a proven way for them to acquire the necessary technology,” says Tom Walsh, iGov’s vice president of government contracts and program management.  “As a SEWP III incumbent we know this program works, and the new award further substantiates our leadership in the government market.”

SEWP I, II and III were known as the Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement GWAC, but NASA changed the name with SEWP IV to Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement.  The new meaning evokes two key elements of SEWP contracts: IT product solutions, and a program infrastructure that can support contracts for agency-wide procurements.
