iGov Creates New Units to Meet Diverse IT Needs of Government
New Web Site and Marketing Effort Will Highlight Systems Integration Capability
McLEAN, Va., June 15, 2007 – To better reflect its mission as a systems integrator dedicated to the federal government, iGov has restructured its organization into two divisions that meet the specialized information technology (IT) needs of both military and civilian agencies.
Through iGov Public Sector, the company offers system and software engineering, integration, testing and evaluation, and technical program management services across the government. The other business unit, iGov Technology, provides systems integration and life cycle support services for C4I systems used exclusively by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the intelligence community. Both divisions will continue to follow iGov’s six-phase Implementation Model that ensures a life cycle approach to any system or solution.
“While we have fulfilled multiple product-based requirements for the federal government during the last 11 years, there has always been a steady demand for solutions and system integration services,” says iGov Chairman/CEO Pat Neven. “With this new corporate structure we can more effectively meet the range of tactical and enterprise IT needs that will keep the agencies functioning at the level where they need to be.”
Among the federal government contracting vehicles that iGov holds are: blanket purchase agreements (BPAs) for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; a government-wide acquisition (GWAC) contract under the GSA Schedule; and a NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP IV) contract; and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security FirstSource agreement.
