research and development
Whether you're conducting research in-house to further technology developments, or supporting outside development of a desired product or process, iGov Research and Development can help you meet your goals.
iGov is conducting research and development activities as part of Team TACLAN. iGov has assembled a team of senior systems and software engineers with backgrounds in emerging technologies, Advance Concept Technologies Demonstrations (ACTD), DARPA projects.
Under the TACLAN contract, this team is conducting research on innovative technologies that can provide the TACLAN system with leap ahead technology in order to keep pace with advances in network centric computing, telecommunications, and warfighters enabling technologies.
iGov's R&D Team objective is to introduce emerging technologies into our customers systems without reducing capabilities, functionalities, performance or usability. Our vision is to increase our customers Return on Investment (ROI), reduce systems form factor, optimize architecture, and streamline engineering and operational processes.
Some areas that our R&D Team is currently research are:
- Emerging Technologies
- Mobile Computing Devices (tactical devices)
- Wearable computer (computers, displays, and I/Os)
- Advance Concepts
- Deployable Wireless Communications (WiMAX/802.11n)
- Rugged Mass Data Storage (hybrid and specialized architectures)
- Engineering/Production/Deployment/Operation Processes Improvement
- Real-Time Legacy Systems Conversion/Transfer
- Deployable and Rugged Backup and Restore Systems
In addition, our R&D Team working under the TACLAN contract is developing a research partnership and collaboration with Universities like the University of South Florida.
iGov's R&D team is working aggressively identifying hidden values of technologies, working on ways to overcome emerging technologies implementation barriers, and the exploration of technological breakthrough; all in concert to provide our customers with the best available technology.
