Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) / Non Developmental Item (NDI)

The iGov R&D team has mastered a three-pronged approach to our COTS / NDI Research & Development.  We seek to provide our customers with the best available technology by working aggressively to:

  • identify technologies’ hidden values
  • overcome emerging technologies’ implementation barriers
  • explore potential technological breakthroughs

When viable, our solutions leverage the improved quality and reduced cost of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technologies to meet each set of customer requirements.  This approach also extends to the use of Non-Developmental Items (NDI) as sub-systems.


The resulting benefits include:

  • reduced overall cost
  • shorter completion time from requirement to delivery
  • no need for additional development time
