Emerging Technologies

iGov’s Research & Development objective is to introduce emerging technologies to our customers’ systems without reducing their capabilities, functionalities, performance or usability.  Our systems, including deployable networks, are smaller, lighter, faster and less expensive, while optimizing the existing architecture and streamlining the existing engineering and operational processes.  These efforts consistently increase our customers’ Return on Investment (ROI), while reducing any systems form factor.

To this end, our R&D Team is currently researching:
  • Emerging Technologies
  • Mobile Computing Devices (tactical devices)
  • Wearable computers (computers, displays, and I/Os)
  • Advanced Concepts
  • Deployable Networks / Deployable Wireless Communications (WiMAX/802.11n)
  • Rugged Mass Data Storage (hybrid and specialized architectures)
  • Engineering/Production/Deployment/Operation Processes Improvement
  • Real-Time Legacy Systems Conversion/Transfer
  • Deployable and Rugged Backup and Restore Systems

In addition, our R&D Team is developing a research partnership and collaboration with various universities, such as the University of South Florida.

Check out iGov’s exciting Team TACLAN R&D activities!

iGov is conducting research and development activities as part of Team TACLAN a team of senior systems and software engineers skilled in emerging technologies, Advance Concept Technologies Demonstrations (ACTD), and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) projects.

Under the TACLAN contract, we are exploring innovative means of providing the TACLAN system with leap-ahead technology in order to keep pace with advances in network-centric computing, telecommunications, and war fighting technologies.

iGov's Research and Development efforts are geared toward exploring Emerging Technologies, COTS / NDI technologies, and Concept Analysis.
