iGov Achieves CMMI-DEV Level 3 Rating

McLean, VA, August 2, 2010 – iGov, prime contractor for TACLAN and provider of evolutionary tactical network systems and support programs, announced today that it has achieved the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Standard Capability Maturity Model - Integration for Development (CMMI®) (Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPISM) Class A CMMI-Development Maturity Level 3 rating (Appraisal  #14139).

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes to ultimately improve their performance. The assessment encompassed a thorough review of project management, engineering, support and process management practices for 17 Process Areas on key iGov projects. The CMMI evaluation was conducted by an independent team authorized by SEI.

“We’re pleased to add the CMMI Level 3 rating to our existing ISO 9001:2008 registration.  Our goal in attaining the CMMI Level 3 rating was to ensure that quality continues to define our organization, our processes and engineering capabilities, as well as the services that we provide our customers,” said Patrick Neven, iGov CEO. “As technology continues to proliferate, it is more important than ever for companies today to select a technology partner that not only has breadth of experience, but also holds their development processes to the highest standards.”
